Subject: Was Tim Cahill in our school?

I need a bit of memory jogging, if anyone can help (or if you have a yearbook handy). Was there a Tim Cahill in either my class ('75), the year before me, or your class of '76? I'm asking because I've been reading this book called "Never Forget: An Oral History of September 11, 2001" which has short interviews with people who were directly affected by that day. Near the end of the book, they interview Tim Cahill, age 46, Construction Worker, Ground Zero. It has his photo, and he does look like a Vermont Cahill. I remember a Paul Cahill, who I believe was class of '74. Anyway, in the interview, Tim Cahill is describing the ash coming down like snow, and he says "...And I held my hands out. It felt like I was in the woods of Vermont, where I grew up in the snow, and I felt this quiet come over me. Like this gentle snow falling, only it was ashes..."

I'm wondering if any of you remember him? Even if he's not from our town, it was very moving to read his words. I also have a cousin who worked at Ground Zero and I'm incredibly proud of him too.

Dale Cahill was in our class and I believe he still lives somewhere in Vermont.

I don't think there was a Tim Cahill. There was Dale (76) and Paul (74). Last I heard of Dale, he lived in Bakersfield. He is really into Folk music and I think his entire family plays. His daughter and he are lifeguards at Smugglers Notch indoor pool in winter. His daughter saved a young boy that nearly drowned - she had to resuscitate him. That was a couple years ago.
