Does anyone have memories of the Charity Fair when it was held on Park Street? It used to be on the vacant lot between the Workman's and the Reynold's place. It was a big deal for the neighborhood kids. The Workman's mother had died of cancer years before and the proceeds from the fair went to the American Cancer Society, I believe.

Other memorable families in the old hood were the Bowley's, the Kent's, the Ziter's and does anyone remember the Gelanoes (sp?). This was a family of 12, I think, who lived directly across from the Park Street Store. We used to call it the "Littlestore", all one word.

I vaguely remember the Charity Fair. I do remember the Gelanoes (don't know correct sp). At some point they moved and they owned the 1001 Store in Grand Isle. Francis was in our class. I don't recall any other names.

It's in my yard sale pile and you're welcome to it, but it only toasts on one side and you have to hold down the lever...

If you say so, Dave; you are the master of junk afterall...In order to be eligible to win the fine bagel toaster, Patty, you must post your own message at this site; replies are nice, but they do not qualify you to win the merchandise. Please try again!

I forwarded this link to Geoff. He is an artist in Maine, I believe, and he has lost much of his eyesight. He couldnt come to the reunion because of a scheduling conflict... Hopefully he will fill you all in on the charity fair.

The Bishops are off to vist Steve Peck and family in NY for the rest of the vacation! ttfn, Helen
