Hi folks!

welcome to the ejhs website and messageboard. A small group of us started this site back in 2000 for the class of '76's 25th reunion. We've kept it up and running with the support of a few, who felt it would be a good way to keep in touch and to plan for future events.

This past year some of us felt that expanding the site to be inclusive of other years would be a good idea (for many of us, it was not only the kids in our own class, but the kids a few years ahead, or behind us that we remember most fondly). We had a special multi-year reunion event this past August that was attended by folks from several classes and which was planned and organized via this website.

We now come to a crossroads in the development of our site and are looking for input from those who visit here. I've already heard back from a few who are prepared to help keep the site going and who support the idea of changing our name to reflect a more generic essex reunion site (our name currently incorporates the year '76 in ejhs76.com and we think that changing this may generate more participation from other years). In addition we'd like to change the format of the messageboard and to add more features, links and change/maintain and update the pages throughout the year. We think we can do this fairly inexpensively, especially if we can get a core group of supporters (I'm shooting for $20/supporter the first year and hopefully less for future years as interest grows).

thanks to those who responded here, or to me directly by e-mail! I went thru the guestbook and sent another message out to everyone today. hope to be setting a time soon to meet at the Lincoln Inn to discuss plans for the next event and what to do about this website.

some people like to ride bikes thru the mud and some like to plan events. it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round.

that's right, i am trying to take back the control of this cyber cafe from wherever it has drifted to. I'm glad to see that you, as the webmaster, are still checking here from time to time.
