Subject: Hi everyone! Just checking in and trying out this new board! :)

Hi! Found you all - now I need to figure out how to post! LOL
Hope all is well with everyone, still haven't had much time on the computer, still hunting for kittens, and keeping an eye on Mama outside! It was very hairy where I live this last week - were you hearing on the news about the wildfire that threatened the Hanford Nuclear Reservation?? That is about 20 miles from my house. It is out now, but very bad. It burned 190,000 acres or about 300 square miles. 73 structures burnt down, 21 of them homes. It started last Tuesday when there was a head-on collision on a rural highway, and due to the hot weather and gusty winds changing direction it got out of control fast. They were very worried about the nuclear waste storage tanks, and are still testing for leaks, but it looks like we were spared this time. Between Los Alamos in May and Hanford in June, it looks like they better get some better safety measures in effect!
