Mitchell--
Any anyone else beginning in the nuggetshooting hobby

Just as an example for Mitchell as he is not far from Reno and the Nevada Bureau of Mines: Try the booksales... publications... at the publications office. Also, as a target of opporunity some of the retired profs... and staff... may be wandering around and if approached properly be very helpful.

Also there are (were) often old-timers in the library who have been involved in mining for all of their life. Back when I was an undergraduate this was one of my best
"learning classes." Many--- this was now over a half-century ago--- knew my grandfather, Gloria's grandfather, and my dad; and they were willing to further my education with practical experiences.

Go to Reno Prospector's Supply; Darryl's and old friend
of mine and can be of help in suggesting the "wheat" from the "chaff" as far as helpful publications. But first learn the basics; thus, first year "college" level physical geology texts a good choice.
