Chris, the new Hot Shot for the MXT is something of a hybrid coil, a concentric which has the stability of a DD. Or, so I am told. I am also told that SUPPOSEDLY the very first shipment is slated to arrive at Jimmy's shop this Friday, and, that I am near the top of the list for getting them. Hawkeye is in Florida, so "while the cat's away the rat will play," which means I will be testing the Hot Shots as soon as I get them. One person who claims to have tested a prototype is suggesting that it gets about 30% more depth than the 10x6 DD, but, I'll believe that when (and if) I see it. I DO know that the Hot Shot for the GMT gets 20-25% more depth than the standard 10x6. Will let one and all know my opinion, good or bad. I sure hope the 30% increase rumor is true, whoa, gotta start carrying a full size shovel into the field! HH jim
