You're right, Wishbone...A person can hold as many 20 acre claims as they can afford...It's the Association Claims the question comes up about...An association claim is, by definition a group of claims up to a total of 160 acres that is located by an association of up to 8 people @ 20 acres per association member...The two factors in an association claim are the 20 acre/person limitation and the designation of an association claim as a single claim, which makes it cheaper to locate, although no less expensive on maintainence...There still must be $100/year/20 claim...That means that on an association claim of 160 acres, there must be a minimum of $800 in assessment work or maintenance fees, sans the small miner waiver...Cheers, Ron
