Subject: All Factory Coils Finally Available for Garrett Infinium

Hi,

Been awhile since I posted here, but spring has come to Alaska and I have detector fever!

My current nugget detecting arsenal includes the Minelab GP 3000, Garrett Infinium, Fisher Gold Bug 2, and White's MXT. Pretty much got all bases covered.

I've been having a ball the last couple weeks playing with my Infinium in town. I just got one of the 14" mono coils, and found by digging lo-hi tones I can get old coins out of a "worked out" location near my home. So I get up at 5 AM and go detecting in the morning before I go to work. Also plan on doing some jewelry detecting with the Infinium now that the ice just went out of my favorite freshwater beach.

Anyway, I just wanted to let any Infinium users out there know that all the factory coils are finally available. The stock coil is the 14"x10" DD coil. Available now are a 7"x3" DD, 10"x5" DD, 8" mono, and 14"x10" mono. This is one of the better coil selections available for a pulse induction (PI) detector and as far as I know the best available for an underwater PI detector.

I'm favoring the 14" mono for nugget detecting this summer as it has a slight depth advantage in moderate soils. And the little 7"x3" DD is also a favorite of mine, both for nugget detecting nooks and crannies, but for wading the beach, as it has terrific trash separation and easy pinpointing compared to the big 14" stock coil.

I'm not pushing the Infinium per se. In fact I caution casual users this machine is powerful but quirky. It does not work like any other detector I have ever used, and many casual users would probably be turned of by the Infinium. But once you figure it out it is a unique detecting tool. I'm having a ball with mine just because it is so different. VLF has been a tad boring lately.
