Hi Jim,

You've seen the posts elsewhere I am sure, like at http://www.findmall.com/metal/mxt/config.pl?read=5576 with pictures of the nugget. This forum is getting so slow to load I'm finding it hard to keep visiting.

My father owns a Cessna 206 and so I am an airplane bum. But the problem is working with his schedule, and weather is a big factor in getting where we are going. There is a major mountain range between Anchorage and the McGrath area, where Ganes Creek and my mine at Moore Creek are located. So bad weather can cause days of delays or canceled trips if the passes are closed.

Commercial flights to McGrath run $400 RT from Anchorage, then another $140-$400 RT to places like Ganes Creek or Moore Creek. So it can get pricey. Even flying with Dad the fuel costs can get up there quickly. Aviation fuel can run $4-$5 per gallon in Alaska.

Well, need to go pack for my trip. I'll post results in a couple weeks. Happy Hunting!

Steve Herschbach
