I have just returned from camping in the area you are talking about and I hope you have some info for me. We pulled off Garlock Road a few miles past the Randsburg Road intersection. There are some old cabins there maintained by the BLM Adopt-a Cabin program. Past the cabins there are signs that say Goler Hieghts. There is an old mining operation and a cabin or house that was burnt down. I was looking for information about the operation and people who lived there. We do a lot of exploring and the kids always want to know about the people that lived and worked in the places we explore. Kind of a living history lesson.
