I used to own a Goldmaster 2, and didn't think much of it until I nailed two nice small nuggets. It just seem to scream "nugget!!" when I went over them. And that was using the big sierra gold max coil. However, being a small guy, the weight of the detector and large coil was too much for my arm after a full day of detecting, so I sold it. If you can get a good deal on one, and you can handle a heavy detector, I'd say go for it.
