Anywhere and everywhere in the tailings. Those big dredges only sucked up the large gold and spit the small stuff out. Watch for platinum also. In the " Gold Rush" days platinum was nearly worthless and miners would pick it out of their pans, rockers, and sluices, and throw it away. They used to make dentures and lightning rods out of the stuff.
