Hi Steve,

Thanks for the wealth of information. I recently got my GB 2 back from a friend who had been using for quite some time. It had been a long time since I really played with it.

My big question is why does this detector "see" nuggets near iron objects and all the other detectors I have tried do not. For somebody like myself who always needs to know the technical reasons, it is bugging me. Guess I will have to track down Dave Johnson and ask him. Hopefully, he will respond.

Right now, I am inclined to think it is a combination of filter speed and operating frequency that are the primary reasons, but I really need to confirm it.

Thanks again.

Still hoping somebody out there has a copy of the schematic and will send me a scanned copy of it. That will help some.

Reg
