You might check out this website: http://www.everestinterscience.com/Info/Emissivity/emissivity%20table.htm

They give a general table listing the emissivity over a general temperature range.

Looks like you might be trying to use something like a night vision scope or an infared camera. If so, good idea, but unfortunately it appears that some of the precious metals like gold have minimum heat radiation. One might look for darker spots though.
