I haven't really taken the time to compare them side by side. I just have areas where I prefer one over the other. Mostly it has to do with the size of the gold and the mineralization. If the ground is not too hot and the gold on the small side I use the GMT. If the gold is larger and the ground hotter then I use the XT18000.
