Why do you think epoxy bedding will cause "less sensitivity" in comparison to the foam-type coil linings ? If the right (inert) epoxy bedding materials are used, there should be absolutely no effect on the sensitivity of the coil. It just serves to suspend the loop windings to keep them from moving. Also, what are you referring to by "wire migration" ? I've used several types of PI coils that were epoxy-filled bedding designs, and to my knowledge there was never even the slightest problem with any of them.
