Thanks for answering Hoser John,

I know it can be a hard question to answer greatly depending on the environment. I have some feedback as indicating between 4-8 inches. I read in the pass generally most nuggets are found under 12 inches. I'm just curious as to how many nugget hunters record thier finds as to depth and so forth. Just curious to see!

As for myself I have not found my first nugget in Colorado, YET. However I do measure each target find with a tape measure even though the target is trash. I keep a mental record as to the finds depth while detecting in different areas. In addition I record the gain and vsat setting for area. Personally I think it helps me see how well I may be detecting and setting my GMT just right for the environment.

Happy Hunting to All!
