Ok, this isn't exactly nugget hunting but pretend it involves nuggets instead of coins.

You have been called upon to help recover a large cache of money hidden somewhere on some property, let's say upwards of a million dollars worth. You have a choice of how to be paid for your efforts. Which would you choose?

Would you ask a low figure per hour for your time, say $20/hr. plus a percentage of whatever you find, say 10%. There is no gaurantee that you will find the treasure if it even exists.

Or would you ask a high dollar per hour, say $100 but with no claim on any part of the treasure. Keep in mind it may take anywhere from 1 hour to 50 hours to find it, if it exists.

One way is a gamble to come out with several thousand dollars in tax free gold or the sure thing of several hundred cash. Which would you choose?

BTW, this is not fiction in my case as I have to decide. I'm looking for some advice.

Thanks,
Digger Bob
