Hello Ray

Does your 2-wheel have a limited-slip differential? Foy your info there are several areas where gold can be found; one of my group pulled out several ounces in one old tailing pile but this was years ago. I was using the Garrett Scorpion at the time and it was sensitive enough and handled the contact metamorphic country rock pretty good.

However, I will confess my 4-wheel drive Ford F-150 became axle deep in one area. Spent a day waiting for one of the locals to chain me out. I'm not new to driving in the sand/mud as I learned how to drive in Nevada roads.

Depending upon the time of year and prior traffic the sandy stretches can be easy or difficult; but it is when you get well into the area that you can hit a bad spot w/o warning.

Since Jim McC lives in that general area his post is very informative. "Hello Jim, keep that coil swinging."
