1) The problem with being a "nice guy" is, by whose
standards is one "nice"?
We come into this Life with no values or opinions,
so what we use for judging "nice,"
comes from what was acquired by subtle indoctrination.

Scripture maintains the world system is at emnity with God
so if you use all that you received in your training
from the "traditions of men" *
to conform your thinking and behavior to following,
you are opposed to God.

(*See Col 2:8 for "traditions of men." In fact this whole
sentence reiterates this verse.)

I found it interesting that in Las Vegas, the ultimate sin
is considered stealing. You can be a murderer, pediofile,
adulterer, and stay. But, if you ever get branded as a
thief, no one wants anything to do with you. "Nice guy"
is a relative term, then, isn't it?

2) I have reasons to doubt any admirable traits about the
character of Darwin. He plagerized his grandfather's notes.
He beat out Wallace in getting recognition for the theory before the guild. His theory was racist and subtitled
"The Preservation of Favored Races."
And he left seminary vowing to oppose Christianity.
Looking at the results of Darwin's influence, it can be said
that no other singular cause can claim responsibility for
causing Christians to leave the literal interpretation of
Scripture. And, coming at the close of our civil war, his
theory justified the worst period of racism we ever experienced.
In my opinion, Darwin ranks with Aristotle in harmful
doctrines to mankind.

But, I am not alone in my view of Darwin:

"One reason education undoes belief
is its teaching of evolution;
Darwin's own drift from orthodoxy
to agnosticism was symptomatic.
Martin Lings is probably right in saying that
'more cases of loss of religious faith
are to be traced to the theory of evolution...
than to anything else.'"
(Studies in Comparative Religion, Winter 1970)
