There is no logic in the Arab/Islamic way of thinking. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the desert scum attempted something, big enough to draw attention.
America would unite, as you indicated, and we would respond in a manner stronger than our initial response to 9/11.
I don't think the French or Germans would figure into it much, unless they volunteered. Europeans may be efite snobs but they're savvy enough to realize that we control most of the world economy.
