Jesus himself said that the scribes and Pharisees had authority from Moses. See Matthew 23:1-3.
So Jesus would disagree with you. he told his followers to DO WHATEVER the Pharisees told them to, but not to do as they DID, for some of them were hypocritical. That does not detract from the fact that he told them to do whatever the Pharisees (Orthodox rabbis) told them to.
Personally, I think Eliyahu wasted a lot of words to say one simple thing. Jews don't believe in Jesus for this reason:
