Subject: Gentle Giant Midi

Loved your G>G Midi on their website....however, being a stickler for detail, your title is "Excerpts from Octopus" yet neatly placed (and well done I might add) is the title, "Acquiring the Taste", from the album of the same name.....thanks for the good versions...your midi really helps me to appreciate even more (as if it were possible), the composition and arranging skills of the Giant! Tally-ho!

Thanks Wayne

This midi is based on the track "Excerpts from Octopus" on the CD "Totally Out of the Woods", which contains their early BBC recordings. They tended to vary the sections contained in this track at their live shows, but "Aquiring the Taste" usually featured in the acoustic section.

I have a couple of other midis on the GG site and some photos of them at Portsmouth Guildhall (under my real name). I hope to do some more midis later.

A great band that, sadly, eventually succumbed to the pressures of their record company to produce more commercial material.

Bean
