Subject: Turgis family in Ringwood UK

I have traced my Turgiss family roots back to Harbridge, Ringwood, Hampshire ect. in UK and alongside my direct line came across Tristam Turgis and his son Francis Turgis who features in your ancestral tree. Does anyone have any info on those families from that time, or has anyone had their dna checked (as I have) which might indicate if we are related ? B T, near Boston

Hi Mr. Grayer - it seems we discover each other's messages a few years after they're sent....! I believe I am descended from Tristram Turgiss of Ringwood, and interestingly he had his own coins minted to act as currency for his grocer's shop in 1666.... Check out Arms on Merchant Tokens, to see our family crest on one of his coins, BT, now in New Jersey
