El tenista Giovanni Lapentti y la MISS VENEZUELA INTERNACIONAL 2004, Andrea Gomez Vasquez de 26 aņos de edad, se casaron en una ceremonia religiosa con la asistencia de unos 300 invitados. Lapentti habia conocido a la joven en la boda de su prima Valeska Saab. El sacerdote Humberto Salgado oficio la ceremonia en la iglesia San Josemaria Escriva de Balaguer. La novia que lucio un traje de la diseņadora americana Vera Wang, labora como representante de la compaņia VeriFone para America Latina. Residiran en Miami Beach (Florida, E.U.)








ANDREA GOMEZ VASQUEZ participa en el certamen nacional como Miss Distrito Capital, donde obtiene el titulo de MISS VENEZUELA INTERNACIONAL. Es una bella rubia de ojos verdes, con una esbelta altura de 1,75 m. En el mes de octubre de ese mismo aņo participa en el concurso REINA SUDAMERICANA en Cochabamba, Bolivia, donde obtuvo el premio de ROSTRO MAS BELLO-SHISEIDO-.
En 2005 representa a Venezuela en el prestigioso reinado de MISS INTERNACIONAL en Tokyo, Japon donde clasifica entre las 12 finalistas.
