Subject: Liz phair unfair in syracuse ny..

AS a local artist myself,I was disgusted in your antics sat nite after the concert,1st of all don,t give the nod if you don,t mean it,may i suggest you buy or rent the movie groove,to understand what it means. The nod means you acknowledge that fan,and his or her request,2sd being in the music buisness you should never forget or be rude to your fans, for they buy your music and have put you where you are right now,and 3rd last but not all least ,your friend in the white knit hat was very rude to us,when i asked him if you,ll come out to sign some autographs,He snottily replied Probaly NOT! I hope he,s not with you for your whole tour you,ll have no fans left. Also how hard would it have been to come out and sign 3 lousy autographs, for 3 fans, waiting outside in below 0 tempetures, for nearly 45 minutes,Instead you and your friend in the knit hat hid inside the auditoriun till we finally gave up and left.As a local D.J. I have met many artists, and no matter what the case was, they always managed to take time after the show,to meet and greet their fans, especially when the artist is playing a small venue. As of yesterday I Removed any and all of your music from my playlist, and have returned or traded in every cd i have from you,For if an artist cannot respect or appreciate their fans,Why should the fans respect, appreciate, and support an artist, that doesn,t do the same in return?? Signed Dissappointed D.J.in Syracuse..........

The point is Dean, there was a 1000 people at that concert, but their was only 3 of us out there waiting for her to come out and sign some autographs, she knew we were out there waiting and so did her driver, the guy in the white knit cap,Instead of playing hide and seek and waiting for us to leave, she should have made good on her acknowledgement and came out and took a couple of minutes out of her precious time to meet us and give us an autograph, that,s what being famous is all about! If you can,t take time out to meet a few fans, and handle the spotlight that you,ve created for yourself, then maybe you don,t deserve to be famous, besides only children play games like hide and seek not grown up adult stars...

Good God, what type of world do we live in? If he was standing outside of an AIDS clinic asking total strangers for their autographs, I'd be less sympathetic, but this is LIZ FREAKKING PHAIR... who the hell is that?!

Also, I have AIDS.

DJ mre - jeeeesus, guy - quit being such a child. You must have quite a big ego if you think Liz was "hiding out" from you. Most probably she didn't know you were there (even if the guy in the white hat did).

Like someone else said - get over - Liz doesn't need fans that will drop her so quickly anyway...

My message today is for nycmark1,my question to you is,you were,t at that concert in syracuse that cold night in feb,but i was,and no it,s something i will not get over with easy, when a artist makes a promise, and then renigs on it and disses you,how can you forget that? That,s all right though you go a head and support your shallow artist Liz Phair, for as a d.j. i,ve seen many artists come and go in this buisness,we,ll see how long your beloved Liz Phair lasts,we,ll see if her treatment of her fans and her music stands the test of time.PS;about three years ago i went to a concert in that same venue, you know who the artist was? I,ll tell you Run Dmc,and even though they were tired after the concert, they took time out to meet and greet the fans after the show,That,s what being an artist is all about being True to your fans, and acknowledging their presence at a show and after a show, and i was,t the one being childish, for i wasn,t hiding out in the auditorium waiting for three fans to leave, because i didn,t want to sign a few auto graphs,That,s childish BEHAVOIR,
