i had been a far of liz phair since 99 when she hit main streem i was happy for her, last night i see her on maxim hot 100, even as a fan i raised an eye brow to this, attractive yes, hot no....then she opened her mouth and said something to the effect of ....i hate stripper, i do'nt know why i just hate them, but i like porn stars. i highly doubt you have met that many strippers in your lifetime. there are an estimated 500,000 in this country (myself included) we range in age from 18-35.....isn't that your demographic, wow THINK BEFORE YOU OPEN YUOR MOUTH (for what it is worth i am in my 4th year of school and will have my degree in buss. administration in the fall i dont drink or do drugs and i'm in a three year relationship) so please think before you judge...you just lost a fan

Sounds surprising that she would say something like that. Haven't seen it myself but I certainly take your word for it. She normally has interesting and insightful things to say, even when brief. I do hope you assume that she's not coming from the usual, stereotypical, judgemental place, especially given the follow-up regarding porn stars. Maybe she's had various run-ins with individuals who identified themselves as strippers. In any case, I hope you'll bear with her. Please don't feel judged, by Liz of all people. Perhaps you'll be able to learn what is behind the remark. Best wishes.
