I've been a fan since her first album and finally got to see her for the first time this year in Cincinnati. I loved it. She just stands up there with her band, plays, sways, smiles, and sings her songs. She talked to the crowd quite a bit in Cincy because she said she "feels close to Cincy and wants Cincy to feel close to her". I watched her perform "Why Can't I?" on The View this week and she was so nervous her voice was shaking throughout the first verse. In Cincy, during HWC, I was close enough to actually see her blushing during the song. She appears to be nervous and shy on stage at times, but it just endears her to me more. Thank God for Liz Phair...what a breath of fresh air musically and lyrically. Her new album, while definitely being the most commercial to date, still has classic Liz songs that you'd love. She's definitely worth seeing live. If she comes around this area again in 2004 I'll definitely go. Peace, Jeff
