Subject: Interpreting "Canary" (help, please.)

What is your take on Liz'z "Canary"?
I'm illustrating it with photos for an AP English project.
I would appreciate it if someone could get back to me within the next few days...

I've shown the lyrics to a few people...and they all have different opinions. (I have mine...I'm just curious as to what other people think.)

hi, i think that it is about the frustration that arises when you try to be the "nice" person, the "perfect" person. the song pretty life on whitechocolate space egg is similar...that's what i always thought anyway.

I'm pretty sure it's about the moment when women realize that they're expected to bring pleasure to men, while demanding it in return is seen as out of line.

" I jump when you circle the cherry
I sing like a good canary"

doesn't get much more obvious than that methinks

If you're not really thrilled, just fake it to keep him happy. what a wonderful lesson America teaches its "better half"
