I think the cuip has a nice forum if we could only produce a consensus for somebody (a candidate) to better represent independents, than some local political move as the New Yorker political machine who seemingly won't or can't move a simple idea such as a third candidate with or without a party such as Charly Sheen for president forward. Next they may want to promote a resolution to ban the electoral college because their independent party idea has found a different demise and more solid base can be gained by processing elections by popular vote and not electoral count.
