the legislative process needs reform. it's time to turn america toward a true democracy.

through the internet and other telecom technologies, it's possible to design a system whereby each citizen of voting age can vote on every bill that comes to the house and senate floors.

representatives can be elected by the people to craft the bills and lobby for them, not to their collegues alone, but to the people who selected them.

we can then vote for the issues important to us. we will surely make mistakes. but we will learn. and government will be truly of, by and for the people.

lobbyists will complain that we don't know what's good for us. we will eventually put them out of business.
they'll argue it's not what the founding fathers wanted.
but the founding fathers were rich men afraid of the common man. we can amend the constitution to reflect 21st century reality.
