Well put. Too bad society in general doesnt see it that way. Society and media leads most to believe that 'picture perfect' beauty is the only kind of beauty worth anything. That is you have imperfections, you must quick and 'fix it'. Get under the knife, have cosmetic surgery, hide away what is 'abnormal' about you.

In my logical-thinking mind, I know they're wrong for creating and nurturing this mentality, but in my heart, it hurts. I see myself in the mirror, and I wish I had died during the accident, cause now I am hideous to look at. And even tho, in my logical-thinking mind, I know there must be SOMEONE out there who wouldn't view me as such, I feel, because of the way society views the 'imperfect', I feel like I'm a freak.

Hell, even my own husband won't touch me anymore! And as much as he may deny it, spouting off his overly-rehearsed answer of 'I dont find you hideous, honey', I know for a fact he DOES find me hideous. Or at the very least, undesirable. And, ok, so it's not completely society's fault, or the media's fault that he feels this way, but it did/does play a factor.

:::sigh:::

Sorry, for the 'soap box' babble again...
