"If Prayer managed to get the idea that I loved Goldie better than her, that I have failed, no decent father gives off that impression. She was gone, and when she came back, she was all grown up." He shakes his head, level of anger rising somewhat, "And it never occured to her that I might have trouble accepting that my children are grown because I love them." Sighing, he returns the nuzzle half heartedly, "How did I get to be the bad guy in this? Is Goldie still mad at me?"
