"It'll probably hatch soon, today or tomorrow. When it does, you'll hear it, so you probably won't miss it. Feed it as soon as it emerges from the egg, and try to be alone. If there are lots of people in the room, it might accidentally Impress to one of them." Irenne paused, then continued. "If you want, you can leave the egg here, and T'shon or I can alert you when it starts hatching. I know your early dragon-riding days will be filled to the top." The Weyrwoman smiled, knowing how hectic those first weeks would be, learning how to take care of a dragon. Her smile suddenly disappeared as she jumped to her feet, T'shon only a split second behind her. "Thread's falling over Fort Hold!" She turned to S'kra. "You can leave it here of take it with you. I'll be back--I don't know when. S'mer..." She hesitated. The weyrlings could not be left here by themselves, but every grown dragon would be needed. "S'mer will have to come with us. Ch'zez will be in charge--I think he's the oldest bronzerider." She sped out of the room, following T'shon, after the last instructions.
