REMEMBER THE FALLEN

With the cheering crowds and playing bands
They were sent to fight in foreign lands.
Or, some times on their native soil
They were sent to fight and toil.

Some returned to the cheering crowd
But, far too many were not allowed.
They had to pay the ultimate price
Their lives they had to sacrifice.

Their ideals were strong and true
They knew they had a job to do.
Defending freedom was their goal
Although it took an awful toll.

But still they volunteered to fight
They HAD to do what was right.
Their motto was �Liberty for all�
And for this cause they were willing to fall.

So we dedicated, in the month of May
Just for them a special day.
When we remember the sacrifices they made
For our freedom, with their lives they paid.

I hope to the world, PEACE comes some day
And soldiers, at home, will be able to stay.
So, let us dedicate ourselves to the cause
Of putting war FOREVER on pause.
