Do we live?

Do we run?
Or are we immobile?
Can we be one in our own destinies?

In the end
When we win
When we fly
You say goodbye
To cruel souls
And ugly lies
To sickness gone
And harmful hold
To dying young
And growing old
To wasted time
And reckless art
To endless hurt
And a broken heart

Now were you free?
Did you live?
Did you run?
Or did someone control your destiny?
And in the end it was only a matter
Of what your life really is.
