seen only through
sunken eyes
deep purple bruises
soul cries
like a baby
at the end
of the longest
hallway
door slams
empty plates bang
on long metal
tables
mother yearns for
her life back
orphanage
her baby wilts
ghosts glide through
doorways and halls
to haunt the
prisoners
soul cries
captors drink to
their victory
pigs
reward themselves
for the murder
soul cries
echos against
metal bars
pounds into the
backs of skulls
sunken eyes
soul cries
