Subject: I Want To Throw Something Out Here That's Been Nagging At Me For Awhile Now...So I Want To See What The Interest In This Would Be Before I Go Through With Putting It Together... I don't want to start a system, I just want to have a one time event. My idea is for a Tsunami Relief Pageant. Here's the catch to it though, I want every penny from contestant entries to go toward the victims! So here's what I am hoping to get accomplished if enough interest and I decide to go through with it. I want to get all crowns, trophies, medallions, sashes, gifts etc., donated for this event so that no contestant money is spent on awards. I would be asking any and all pageant directors that would be willing to, to donate any left over items that they have from other events for this pageant for a mention in a little program that will be handed out at the event and for a little publicity on boards, in newspapers etc. I also want to get a hall or ballroom donated for the event as I want ALL money to be donated to the cause. If I could get all the donations I need, we could have a low 30.00 entry fee and with enough entries, we could raise a GREAT deal of money for the victims. Please let me know if you would attend such an event or if you are a director and would have any items you would like to donate to it. Prizes are not expected to be Huge, this is a benefit and we will give out what is donated, I'm hoping that all who enter will not have the awards on their mind, but the cause! I believe if we give this situation to God and with your support we can really make a difference with this and it could be a huge success! And if this would go over well, I may plan other benefit pageants in the future for causes like this, totally non'profit for myself or anyone that I would have to volunteer their help.
