Previous posting was supposed to describe Deep V class but I mistakenly described Novice Class.

Dealer Performance (Technicians for Tomorrow) is a Deep V class that will be run as a special event class and will be a "Factory Dealer" class. The boat will be a fiberglass V bottom boat and a "dealer bought" engine with no modifications will be used. The engine specifications still need to be determined. A boat will cost approximately $1,200 and there will be an additional cost of $200 per boat which will be contributed back to the four local BOCES for use in procurement of boats for their students to run. This would be a team event and there is a lot of interest. The idea is to introduce kids from the BOCES program to boat racing, training them in the process, and getting them on the race course. They are also being introduced to people in the marina industry which is badly in need of mechanics. This is a great concept!
