  為何要瘦身呢?因為肥胖絕非是福,肥胖是營養不良的表徵,而非是營養過剩。

  人到中年以後,脂肪代謝率變差,身材開始發福變胖,這正是老化開始的現象,若您還年輕,這也是一種老化的警訊,所以肥胖很容易得到心臟病、糖尿病等與老化過程常伴隨的疾病類似。

  一塊肉放在戶外,很快就會腐壞發臭,產生很多毒素。相同原理,當人體開始快速堆積脂肪,再加上抗氧化能力變差,脂肪大量受到自由的侵襲,就會產生很多致命致癌的毒素,所以肥胖幾乎與短命、心臟病、糖尿病.....等劃上等號。如在40~49歲年齡組中,超過正常體重30%以上者,男性平均死亡率增高42%,女性增高36%。
