I found out something very interesting today regarding what was supposed to happen in this speech. Grant was supposed to apologize for any wrongs done by the RLDS in the past to the Native Americans, instead he tried to apologize for the Book of Mormon. He goofed. They saw no need for an apology for the Book of Mormon, but that was how he tried to handle it.
