1. Whereas, The church recognizes the validity of other Christian denominations and the authority of such denominations to call persons into the service of Christ; and

2. Whereas, The church no longer considers itself to be the exclusive repository of divine truth; and

On these two paragraphs hang all of the other beliefs of the COC.
