I'm sorry to hear that. Cancer is a really odd thing, because it's like it just sucks the life out of the person, leaving them a shell of their former self. I remember that toward the end, my dad didn't even seem like my dad. It was almost like looking at some body lying in a bed, swollen up. Ugh.

Thanks for writing on the board. I lost my Dad in April, and I'm only just now starting to really feel the effects of it. I'm taking Paxil and the occasional Xanex, although I've taken more Xanex in the last week than I have in a long time. I guess the Christmas season is getting to me on some subconscious level. Consciously, Christmas doesn't make that much difference to my relationship with him, but I guess it's under there, affecting me in some seasonal way.
