Hi everyone, I don’t know if you’ve heard of this but on September 7, ESPN will help The V Foundation for Cancer Research launch the inaugural national "Show Your Spirit Day!" It’s a really fun and easy concept. Fans have fun and wear their favorite teams' apparel to work that day (or thereabouts) and in exchange make a donation of $5.00 (or more) to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. For this "Show Your Spirit" campaign, 100 percent of the donations will go directly to fund research grants.

Most of you remember Jim Valvano's passionate plea at the ESPY Awards in 1993 that we need to do more to save lives - our family members, our children's children. "Don't give up...Don't ever give up!" Imagine the impact for cancer research, if millions of fans banded together and took these small steps.

For more information, please log on to www.jimmyv.org and click on "Show Your Spirit."
