Dear Susan,

Thank you for your question. Electronic Voice transmissions do not necessarily need to adhere to the other rule for spirit communications. The reason being that in EVP's (Electronic Voice Phenomena), spirit can communicate with the aid of something already there such as "white noise", running water, a telephone device, computer, or the faster moving electromagnetic fields of any accompanying device such as the frequency of a tape recorder or other device picking up the sound. Therefore, it does not need to lower its vibrations a great deal in order to make itself heard as when simply coming into the Earth plane to communicate with you while actually being at your side. That is what takes effort and that is the main difference. When spirit comes to Earth, it *does* need to lower its vibrations to meet our own lower vibrating ones. But when they communicate via EVP methods, it may not be necessary since it is mainly *voice* being transmitted from their realm to ours via a device that takes care of the rest without added effort on their part. By contrast, if they were to appear to one, it would take a substance like ectoplasm to help form them and give them a voice box with which to communicate. That takes much effort and is why they do not stay long when employing the use of ectoplasm for an actual appearance. EVP is a method preferred by spirit though if they could, they would not hesitate to appear in full embodiment as they once were. That is something that they miss, as the properties in the Afterlife do not allow them to do some of the more pleasurable things we can do while incarnate such as actually enjoy a meal or a beverage (having tasting buds to enjoy it as well as a stomach), holding someone in your arms (without a physical body, they employ auric connections and congruent signatures).

By the way, this may be an item of possible interest to you and others. It has been reported that spirit travels at a rate of speed of 1/30th of a second. That's extremely fast by most Earthly standards!
