Society for rural initiatives for promotion of herbals(SRIPHL) is proud of the role it has identified for overall promotion of rural economy
SRIPHL is a non-profit, non-government organization devoted for achieving a sustainable balance between food and income and environmental quality and improving life standard of rural farmers and ensuring resources for future.

Increasing depletion of forest resources and ongoing demand of crude herbs had made way for cultivation of medicinal plants(MPS). The cultivation of MPS is taking place in large-scale because of potential of higher returns.

Defining the fundamental philosophy of helping people help themselves, the SRIPHL is committed to help millions of farmers/unemployed youth just to involve them in worldwide wonderful business of jatropha/ herbals for financial upliftments.

WHY JATROPHA…?
Jatropha is thus unique among renewable energy sources in terms of the potential benefits that can be expected to result from its widespread use. Its cultivation is technologically simple and requires comparatively low capital investment. The large-scale cultivation of Jatropha should target the 296 million hectares of strongly degraded land that requires treatment before food production is possible on them again. Once the Jatropha trees establish themselves and fertilize the soil, their shade can be used for intercropping shade-loving medicinal plants, vanila, vegetables such as red and green peppers, tomatoes etc. that would provide additional income for the farmers. Benefits from its large scale cultivation, in addition to the various positive effects on a macro-level, will accrue to a large extent to marginal land holders in many tropical countries, who despite being hapless victims of the vagaries of climate are the least organised and hence least favouredThe jatropha plantation creates a positive correlation between energy production and food production. It promotes main aspects of development whick combine to help assure a sustainable way of life for rural kishan and the soil that supports them.
As such we have already planted jatropha in large area and encouraging results has motivated us for further expansion. just to promote the Jatropha plantation which can generate tremendous job opportunities among the rural masses It may lead to a revolutionary transformation of the current gloomy economic and energy scenario with an era of economic bloom and prosperity for all sections of society.
