I wasn't really supposed to leave today. But they THOUGHT the sooner I went to the camp the better. Which I totally disagreed with. Just because I was goin sooner didn't mean that was better. It was worse, I had to be with those people before I should've been. And don't forget that I was leaving my family and friends behind. I didn't include my aunt at this point cuz she was the main one that suggested it without even asking me. Before I left everyone was at my house to see me off. I hugged everyone and took pictures so that they had something to remember me by for the next 2 months and I had something to look at when ever I got home sick for my family and friends. When we were done saying goodbye and all the tears were wipped from our eyes I climbed in my black 02 Lexus Jeep LX470 and followed my aunt to where the camp was. It was here in Ga so it wasn't that far. Erika decided she wanted to ride with me since she didn't really like my aunt or my lil cousin Shirra. Erika: So how long are you actually staying at this camp? Me: For like 2 months. Almost my whole summer. All the good parties would've already happened too. The only parties that would be left when I get back is mine and the "Back to School Jam" and the "End of Summer Jammy Jam". Erika: What's that? Me: That's right you ain't here for that. The "End of Summer Jammy Jam" is a pajama party basically. Why they throw a pajama party I don't know. But it's fun. Erika: Man I wish I could stay for that this year. I don't start school until Sept. 5th. When is it? Me: It's usually around August 23 to the 26. Erika: I can go this year since they pushed back the date of us starting school. Me: Coo' you can hang with me and my friends aiightz? Erika: Aiight. We had left the house at about 12 noon and it was about 2 now. The camp was 2 hours away from my house but we were restricted to going home. I was totally pissed about this too. My aunt pulled into the parking lot of the camp and I followed. We parked the cars and got out. Crys: Here we are Chelle. Me: Well isn't this just a honky dory place? I'm just so peachy keen about bein here too. Crys: Chelle stop it. You'll like it here ok? Besides you'll make friends fast you always do. Me: Yeah yeah Aunt Crys. Erika: Girl don't worry you'll be back before you know it. And we can go to those parties you were talkin about. Me: Mos def girl! You know we gon blaze them parties. They be tight as Steve Urkel's pants girl. Erika:[laughs] Aiight. [we hugged] Me: Hit me on my 2 way if you need to talk aiight? Erika: Fo sho. Crys: Where do you girls pick up this language? I'm just glad Shirra doesn't talk like that. Me/Erika:[under our breath] Me too. [laugh] Me: Aunt Crys I'll see you in 2 months unless they let me leave early like tomorrow. Crys: I'll see you on family day. Your cousins and I will be there. Me: Uh huh. Well wipty doo. I'm so glad Shirra and Courtney will be there. Can you bring my friends too? Crys: Sorry it's family day only. No friends. Me: Now you know Clara and Kelly are like my best friends. That ain't fair and you know it. Crys: Rules are rules Chelle. Now let's go find your cabin. Me: Yeah let's. This should be fun. I'll probably be with some lil lames. Crys: You're in the oldest cabin since you're 16 and you turn 17 next week. Me:[sarcastic] That's just sweel Aunt Crys. Crys: Chelle stop being sarcastic. Me:[sarcastic] Me , being sarcastic?
