Subject: 1981 Malibu 2 door $450

1981 two door, light blue Malibu located in Grand Rapids, MI $450 or best

This two door, bench seat Malibu was bought new by my Grandmother. She put about 34K on it over 10 years. I bought it from her in 1992 an additional 20K on it. It then was parked outdoors (shame on me) from '96 till last fall (2002). Last fall it started and drove out of a backyard to a car carrier to be pulled from Detroit to Grand Rapids, where it was garaged over this last winter. The 229 V6 has a bad lifter, needs carburetor work and no battery is included. I think the transmission is a TH350. The body has parts that look brand new, other spots that have rusted but could easily be restored. The frame, floorpans and underside even in the rear are in great shape. No accidents, however the rear fender has been creased by someone pulling into the next spot in a parking lot. The car includes the original owner’s manual, a Haynes repair manual, some factory paperwork showing all the option codes, the jack and small spare (still holding air). The interior is in great shape, the seats and headliner look brand new, the dash has minimal fading
