Midnight Rider

Peaceful slumber forever
shattered & torn.
Approaching sounds of
the midnight storm.

Burdened hooves echoing
in the night.
Beast and rider, such
a fiendish sight.

The muscular beast, breathing
heavy, bathed in sweat.
Sensing the end of his journey
will soon be met.

Rider, determined & fierce,
will never stray.
Continuously chasing the
night into day.
