Ok, I've read all of those stupid-ass posts and have come up with a conclusion, none of you are right, ok? So deal. But whether you like it or not you'd better read every damn word I write because I'm just taking what ALL of you wrote and how ALL of you caused it to be blown out of proportion. Obviously, I love all of you guys, so I'm not gonna take sides, so JUST READ DAMNIT!
We'll start with Kris since he had the first thread
Kris: You started out ok, but the reason things went overboard were because of the statement "or is this just an ego-boosting trip to drag in the berlin loving too short notice crowd, cuz it would be bigger crowd". Like you said later, no offense, but you had time to write it, you had time to think about it (AND THE REACTIONS YOU'D GET), you had time to fix it.
Then you say "and no ego, okay. if you say so! Ego's, let's see, a band and an ego,hmm..okay, nevermind, won't even get into it." Sound like "Underneath I apparently think that you have egos but I don't wanna come right out and say it, even though it's obvious from my sentence"
Next "and for the 'success' you guys have had, good luck!" The success written that way is sarcastic, seeming like you actually think they suck.
Next "Okay, first off with you, mr. i am cocky, ian jones!" You could have said something a little better than "cocky," that's just instigating.
Next "in my opinion, you guys blew it right out of proportion", yeah, but with the way you worded it, how else could they take it?
Last: "This started out as an opinion, then was blown out of proportion by mr. ian jones on a power trip, nothing against his 'ego', but notice how i could have, but did not defend any of the statements that he made. I'll let him be on his powertrip, because thats how ian is. I'll jst sit back and wait for him to go to a big city and get his nose broken just once, his power trip days will be done, but thanx for the imput, compliments, and etc...later" First off, it was blown out of proportion by Mike (no offense) and secondly, that whole damn statment even makes ME wanna punch you. Those were the things you did wrong. Don't you dare get pissed and stop reading.
Mike: First: "We will leave the glory hounding to you. Stop by so we can discuss why you find it necessary to use that stupid psudonym" Obvioulsy, like you said, he's gonna react to that. The more you try to make it sound like he's the one with an ego, the more it sounds like you are developing one. Not that any of you actually DO have egos. And saying "stupid" about the psudonym is not a way to keep him happy.
Next: "Ok, little bitch, you want throw threats" is not exactly keeping it on civil terms, you could have said "ok kris, listen, if you wanna talk big, I'm gonna defend myself" obviously not as corny, but you know what I mean.
Next: How the fuck are we supposed to take the shit you've been spewing on this board? Are we supposed to smile and say "Hey look, someone else signed the message board." and not get pissed. I just thought that was a good point.
Last: "Is that why you run your mouth all the time? Because you can't even dream of having what we have" a. that's not keeping it civil like I said before, and b. that just DOES sound cocky, and it proves his point about the ego.
Now Ian: First: "Look, are you fucking stupid. To start off with, your first couple of statements don't make any sense. Sorry, but english is obviously NOT your strongest subject." There was no need for that, it just makes you seem arrogent like you are the smartest guy in the world, it was irrelevent (sp?) to the arguement.
Next: NOW, as far as the ego's go ("if there aren't any monitors, then we aren't playing"), Unfortunatley, it's a good point.
Next: "Are you starting to see my point, or is your head STILL shoved too far up your own ass" he MAY have been starting to see your point, but obviously he's not going to agree with you after you instulted him, it just makes you look more like an ass.
Last: Ian, pretty much (though mostly true) of all of the filler in your thread was overdone. You could have proved your point by stating a few things in a nice way like "we have every right to be happy. If you heard people playing your music that you didn't know, you'd be pretty glad too." The middle stuff didn't make you seem modest, it made you seem like "well we know we're good because look at all the stuff I can think of off the top of my head that is better than you."
Y'all need to grow up, and soon because the show is this Friday and I don't want to have to walk from one half of the room to another to see all the friends that SHOULD be in one spot. You might as well listen to me because I'm the only one here not likely to pick sides.
